Atascadero Senior Center is an all-volunteer-operated nonprofit whose mission is to foster the independence and well-being of local seniors through engaging activities, meaningful connections, essential services, and vital resources. These offerings include tech tutoring, guest speakers, the free loan of mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers, classes such as crafts, Tai Chi Chih, Qigong, and Laughter Yoga, engaging groups such as Socrates Club and Book Bunch, and recreational sessions for movies, games, and cards. We're also known to throw a party or two. How We Got Started Founded in 1974 by a dedicated group of seniors who saw and need and filled it.
